Harper Branch Book Club

Looking for some added motivation to do more reading in the New Year? Already love books and pining for more opportunities to chat with other bibliophiles? Then come out to the book club at the John M. Harper branch!

Our first two dates in 2012 will be held on January 30 and February 27 at 7:00pm.

We’re looking forward to a wide variety of books to read this year, from all genres and styles. Drop in when you can or come every week- whatever works for you!

January’s Pick: “Fantasy for Grown-ups” The Magicians by Lev Grossman

February’s Pick: “The Contemporary Gothic Yarn” The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

Teen Advisory Council

The NEW Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is here!

TAC is based at the Harper Branch (500 Fischer-Hallman Road North). Meetings are monthly and start at 6:30pm. There are games, guests, contests, food, and more. Registration not required. Just come, it’s fun!

Meeting dates for 2012: February 6, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, September 3, October 1, November 5.
